The "Consciousness Soul"

In the last Zoom with Martin Straube, which was about emergency pedagogy in the context of the Ukraine war, we talked about different problems of our time. It seemed that human beings are called upon to develop certain moral qualities in order to overcome the current obstacles. We encounter increasing loneliness, polarisation to the extent of war, deteriorating social conditions that used to provide security, and dangers for the ecological environment; on the other hand we also experience increasing freedoms. In anthroposophy there is the term ‘consciousness soul’, which describes the state of consciousness of today's epoch. What is the ‘consciousness soul’? Is it an appropriate term to describe our present situation? We want to enter into conversation together, to move these questions. A suggestion could be the lecture "How Can the Destitution of Soul in Modern Times Be Overcome?" by Rudolf Steiner.
